Angola coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves today announced his World Cup squad minus Chainho and Pedro Emanuel, ending his attempts to gain permission to play the former Portugual players.
The final Angolan squad is mostly as expected with Goncalves choosing to select his fittest players. This meant no place in the squad for Gilberto of African champions Al Ahli and Maurito of Al Wahda. The only real surprise in the squad is the selection of uncapped goalkeeper Mario who is likely to be 3rd choice behind João Ricardo and Lama.
