Wayne Rooney's scan on his injured foot has been moved forward, prompting concerns he will not be ready for the World Cup.
This is a major blow for England, and may be the major setback of England's campaign to win the coveted holy grail of football. If the scan confirms the worst then the scenario isn't all bad for England, with Tottenham's Jermain Defoe, and Crystal Palace's Andy Johnson on standby. Wayne Rooney's scan has been moved forward to June 7. This move has been labelled by many as a precautionary measure in case the Manchester United striker will not be ready for the World Cup. One thing is for sure, if Rooney is labelled unfit then speculation over the certainty of his fitness in the first place will be highly speculated. |
