Tunisia striker Issam Jemaa was forced to withdraw from the World Cup today after injuring his right knee, a team spokesman said.
Jemaa will be replaced by 21-year-old Chaouki Ben Saada of SC Bastia who won the under-17 world championship with France in 2001 before switching allegiance to Tunisia. Jemaa, 22, has 12 caps for Tunisia, having scored once, and had not been expected to be in the starting lineup. |
